Local restaurant chain India Oven appears to be planning a new location in Auburn. A fictitious business name statement for “India Oven” was filed with Placer county on 6/8/2023 at 11825 Willow Creek Drive in Auburn. The location was previously occupied by Costa Vida Fresh Mexican Grill which has since closed.

India Oven was established in 2004 in Grass Valley by the parents of owner Rummy Cheema. They have six locations in the Sacramento area which include Citrus Heights, El Dorado Hills, Elk Grove, Grass Valley, Roseville and Natomas. They most recently opened a location at Fountains at Roseville in late 2021. India Oven serves dishes such as chicken tikka masala, tandoori chicken, chicken biryani, lamb tikka masala and butter chicken.
