News on zpizza Tap Room in Folsom
Folsom’s Prairie City Crossing is expanding its offering with a popular new pizza/taproom.
Zpizza is a Southern California franchise that has been carving a space for itself with the development of their tap wall and health-conscious menu offerings. The proposed Folsom location had been slated for opening last year, but is now projected for April this year. It is currently in a soft-opening status until the completion of the tap wall.
The location in the shopping center at 1840 Prairie City Road is already home to several eateries like Curry Bowl, Panda Express, Burgerim, and Fresh Mex, as well as a Safeway.
The small but growing chain has made a focus on health-conscious ingredients to satisfy the discriminating connoisseur as well as purists. For 31 years now, the business has expanded throughout California to six other states and even has two locations in Vietnam.
They offer a diverse array of vegan and vegetarian options as well as traditional pizza. They also offer non-GMO wheat crust as well as gluten free options. One popular vegan dish, The Berkeley Vegan to be specific, is topped with Daiya vegan cheese, Beyond Meat vegan sausage, and a medley of fresh vegetables.
The official opening will celebrate the completion of the tap wall, where patrons can pour their own craft beers as well as black and tans, or enjoy several ounces with a beer flight. With 30 beers on tap, patrons can sip at their leisure while the system keeps track and charges their card.
The chain has had a few false-starts at the Folsom location. Under a prior franchisee, it had been scheduled to open in 2017, and was subsequently sued by the retail space owner for not opening within a year’s time. Now under different management, the plans have moved ahead to make use of the 2,480 square-foot storefront.
