PJ’s Coffee of New Orleans is planning to bring their first Northern California location to the Sacramento region according to their list of upcoming locations on the company’s website. 

The location will be at 5146 Manzanita Ave in Carmichael, approximately 1.5 miles from American River College.  The current space is 800 square feet and drive thru capabilities are possible. It was previously occupied by Robertito’s Taco Shop. Details of an expected opening date aren’t immediately available.

The Covington Louisiana based coffee chain has 90+ locations across 9 states in addition to a few international locations. Major expansions plans for PJ’s coffee are underway in Texas, the company expects to open a whopping 180 locations there over the next 10 years.

PJ’s Coffee is famous for their PJ’s Original Cold Brew Iced Coffee. The iced coffees are brewed using a cold-drip process pioneered by their founder, Phyllis Jordan, which preserves flavor and reduces acidity. Additional menu items of note include Vienna Créme, Mocha Cappuccino, White Chocolate Latte and Protein Velvet Ice.

UPDATE: PJ’s Coffee of New Orleans is expected to open in October of 2019 according to Brenda Miller of Tri Commercial Real Estate.
